FALL 2010-2011

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

Openings in some divisions may occur due to withdrawals of rostered players.  If you want to be put on a wait list email the Registrar (Registrar@DeerfieldAYSO.org)  and include the information outlined below.  You will be contacted to complete registration if an opening occurs.  You may be contacted as late as September 1, 2010.

1. Player Name

2. Player Gender

3. Player Date of Birth

4. Players GRADE  in school in September 2010

NOTE: Players must have been born on or before September 1, 2006 to play during the 2010/2011 season.

We utilize the AYSO’s Player/Volunteer Registration System called “eAYSO”. This procedure is designed to streamline registration, reduce errors and paperwork and improve communications. This procedure still requires presentation/submission of registration forms along with payment (and proof of date of birth for first time Deerfield AYSO players) and identity verification for all volunteers.

The ON-LINE PRE-REGISTRATION procedure is fairly simple, similar to most other on line sites - hey, get your kids to help you if need to.   ;)

Once you have completed the ON-LINE PRE-REGISTRATION procedure, you will print out and bring one copy of each form (Player Registration and/or Volunteer Application form to one of our walk-in dates  - PLEASE DO NOT "screen print" the form - it is not valid.

Please read on for specific registration instructions:

The American Youth Soccer Organizations goal is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment based on our philosophies:

Everyone Plays

Every player on every team must play equal time.

 Balanced Teams

We reform teams every season to balance play. It's more

fun when teams are of equal ability.

Open Registration

Our programs are open to all children ages 4-18.

Positive Coaching

We train and encourage our coaches to make the extra effort to understand and

offer positive help to our players, rather than use negative criticism.

This approach builds a positive team spirit.

Good Sportsmanship

We create a positive environment based upon mutual respect, rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude. All of our programs are designed to instill good sportsmanship in our kids and our volunteers.

Player Development

We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game

We have adopted a number of policies to assure that we can and will achieve our mission. National  Rules & Regulations, By-Laws & policies as well as our local Regional Guidelines cover many areas, including insurance, dress, conduct, registration and other important items. Listed below are several key policies and procedures pertaining to registration:

Players must have been born on or before September 1, 2006 to play during the 2010/2011 season.

Teams are formed based on grade.

Games are played on Sunday afternoons with one training session during the week (except for U05 & U06).

U05 & U06 teams training sessions are  just prior to their games on Sundays.

Team assignments will be completed and available to the coaches by Mid August 2010

Requests for specific team placements, training days, friendships and coaches are not accepted (except for siblings of the same sex and division).

Once teams are formed, players cannot be reassigned.

Coach pairing requests will be honored when possible and in accordance with Regional policies but are not guaranteed.

All volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer application each year and present it in person with picture I.D. All adult volunteers must provide SS # and are subject to a criminal background check.

Coach and Referee volunteers are required to complete specific AYSO Training courses.

Player fees include the cost of a uniform (shirt, shorts and socks), end of season participation gift  and a team picture.

Full refunds will be made if:  a) the player has not participated in a training session and game, b) not received a uniform and c) a request, in writing (email is acceptable) is made prior to the first game of the season.

First time Deerfield AYSO players must show Date Of Birth proof in the form of a government issued document (birth certificate, State I.D., drivers license, or  passport).

Team placement will be subject to having enough coaches/teams.

Registrations received unsigned or altered, without full documentation or payment,  will not be accepted or processed. Those players who are not assigned teams will have there payments returned.
